The Unwise Teacher

I had a color theory class two Fridays ago. My teacher is a very conceited schmuck. On this Friday we had to present a collage using different pictures from magazines. We put all of our projects onto the board and reviewed them each one by one. My teacher is the worst critic I have ever seen in my life. Yes, he has his head on straight with some things involving art, but he gets to personal with being a critic. The last project on the wall was created by a girl next to me. On her project was cut outs of dolls, bunnies, and cute stuff. Honestly when I looked at it, it made me smile because it had that freedom and happiness coming out of it. He started to look at it, and began to attack her project along with her individuality. He said things such as "We're in college now, you need to grow up.", "This makes me sick", blah blah blah I think you get the idea. He was right on the point where her arrangement could have been better but that's as far as it should have gone. I don't care HOW old you are, some grown ups still watch cartoons, and are happy. Her project was pure creation of a very happy individual. I really wish I had said something to him. He went on for a good 15 minutes, and I kept looking at the girls face to see if she was getting upset. I just don't see the professionalism in his ways of teaching. Maybe he's unhappy and picks on, looks down, and ridicules the people who are happy.

wow I just learned about another awesome quality you have: empathy. I thought he was gonna yell at you but then you said he yelled at someone else. It's up to you whether or not you wanna confront the professor, but be careful b/c he's in charge of your grade. I would talk to the girl and say, "hey you're not alone; I think your collage was awesome!" Wow, 15 minutes? I think he does have some issues! Oh, well. Hopefully you won't need to be confrontational about anything with him b/c that would make for a rough semester. If you need to express your inner child, thankfully that one class isn't your whole life so you can express it in other places.
